Case Study for Seiko Epson Corporation

In 2012, Epson announced that it was entering the sports wearable market with the newest GPS technology. The Epson’s biggest challenge to making a successful entrance to the market was to overcome Epson’s overall brand image as a premium printer manufacturer. 

This particular case study was to create a new design language for outdoor sports, such as mountain terrain tracking for climbing & hiking enthusiast. The design was focused on durability and functionality for the harsh environment along with recreating Epson’s premium brand image.
